Wilber posed next to his corn proudly. He had grown it as a privacy hedge because
the neighbor's 32-inch tall picket fence offered none. This worked until the
neighbor built an upper story onto their house. Wilber now grows cherries & walnuts.
The caption comes from a true story: an acquaintance in Seattle had the far end of her yard overrun
by golden bamboo, which she regarded as a nuisance until she realized it made a good barrier because
her neighbors in back were constantly looking out their windows over the fence. Once it reached a good
height, honest to Jah, they built a second story onto their house with two bay windows facing her property.
